Am 18. Juli feierte das Volk der Yi im Landkreis Qiubei, Wenshan, Provinz Yunnan, ein altes und großes traditionelles Fest – das Hualian-Fest. Das Fest hat eine mehr als 1.000-jährige Geschichte und stammt aus der Zeit der Urbevölkerung, die ihr Gesicht mit Ruß beschmierten, um böse Geister abzuwehren und Unheil zu bannen.
